Did you know that Catapult has a top-secret satellite office in Portland, Oregon? We do, and you can intern with us! Our intrepid Oregon staff are looking for a well-read, detail-oriented, highly organized individual with the communication and system-building skills to support our marketing initiatives at Catapult/Counterpoint/Soft Skull.
The office is in a beautiful old northeast Portland home that features an enviable drink-iced-tea-in-the-sunshine porch and a luscious backyard. (We share space with Hawthorne Books!) You’ll get to work with our Portland Dream Team: Jennifer Abel Kovitz (Associate Publisher), Dustin Kurtz (Social Media Editor), and Dory Athey (Marketing Assistant). There are also two feline contributing editors on the premises, Homer and Romeo, who are partial to “working” in patches of sunshine, next to space heaters, and (occasionally) on (certain) laps.
We’re keen to find an intern with a passion for the sales and marketing side of publishing. The internship duration is flexible; it can run either three or six months.
