Love and Marriage do not always run hand in hand for everyone. I am the lucky one. I have a little story to share about my marriage. I was not fond of these arrange marriages as I always wondered how on earth you choose your life partner in a few meetings! And so decided to look for a groom myself by registering on an Online matrimonial website Shadi Mangalam. As their caption says ‘Two Hearts That Beat As One’, I find instant attraction to their website and created my profile on the website. I was all excited to see responses to my profile and started getting matches of my preferences within no time. I shortlisted a few of these profile requests. One such profile among these does raised my eyebrows as he wrote on his description “I do not need a wife, but a Best Friend for life.” It just took a few minutes for responding to this profile. I saw his pictures uploaded on the website and found a decent looking guy wearing a plastic smile. I got a call in some hours’ time and a confident voice saying Hi.., this is Abhimanyu a registered member from Shadi Mangalam. I became a tad nervous as it was my first time to talk to a guy from an online matrimony website. His voice caught my imagination as I began to match his voice with his pictures. A formal conversation began and it just took few minutes for us to be comfortable talking to each other. The day when they came to my place, just after few minutes of formalities both families were as friendly as they knew each other for years. And there it started before getting marry both of us even went on the picnic with our families and that just made me feel as if it’s a love marriage.
