Do you believe that there are wizards in the world?I can tell you that I believe it.More than that,I am a wizard,actually,a witch.

Do you believe that there are some vampires around you?Before last year,I didn’t believe this at all.You know, Although the textbook of Magic School tells us that the vampire is real, and a considerable part of them like living with human.I still don’t believe that there are someone live with their food.Can you image a man live with a steak?If I live with a steak, I can not control myself not to eat it.

Last summer, I graduated from the Magic School. As a girl born in an ordinary human family, my parents have been hoping I can go to college for 1 7years—since I wasn’t born. When I received a letter from the magical school, my parents’ focus was not that I was a witch, but I could not go to college.So when my schoolmates play games or practice spells,I was learning physics and chemistry.

Finally,I graduated from Magic School,My parents have already deal all the paper work about I transfer to Keller High school. What is done cannot be undone.I already

have 120% of the determination and preparation.That time I only hope my year can be smooth and funny.And I can control my power,not be a freak again.

Well,I think you can understand that When a little girl in front of you let a leaf float in the air,what will you do next?Now you might think,OMG,superhero!But for a group of 4 year-old children,you were the freak.In order to let me have a new life,my parents,Diana and Will Blake,moved to here in my final year.

Standing in the yard of our new home,it looked great.The color of the house bright and clean,the white wall with red roof,so cute. This country house is simple but refined.I really like it.My room just like the old one,thaks for my dad and mom,they are the best parents in the world!There is a big tree out of my window, But I can easily see the window of our neighbor,that was bad. I have to pull the curtains all the time to avoid the little kid to see my little secret. Fortunately, the curtains of the opposite was pulled up, and pulled the airtight. At least today I can feel the sunshine and the breeze.I went to the window, hand propped the window, quietly enjoy

Oh yeah!That was smell like apple pie,my favorite.I eliminated all distractions,ran out of my bedroom,”I am coming.”Now nothing more than an apple pie!

The first day I arrived in the town just past in the plain,before I went to bed,I pulled my curtains, and the opposite was the same as before I seen.

Strange neighbor,I think, But I’m more weird.

Ok,after almost 9years school life,now as a graduate I still had to get up early and go to school, So sadly. But thought there will be four years in the University were waiting for me. This is really miserable.

“So why I have to take schoo1bus?My bag was

hanging in the chair,my dad, who just tell me he can’t drive me to school,was drinking his second coffee in the morning.

“Bunny,that’s not my fall.”dad put down his cup,my mom filled the cup with milk.”Thank you darling,Lexi,there is only one highschool in this town.And it’s in the opposite direction to the clinic.I do want to drive you to school but I will be late. Now happens to be the high incidence of influenza.I already buy you a car,but you don’t have licence, So let’s take schoolbus for this semester,and you get your licence,you can drive to school all by your self.”

“Really?”Driving sound pretty cool,but I doubt my car maybe a bargain,so dad was so generous.”Which kind of car?”

“Beetle,your favorite colour,and brand new.”

“That’s sound great.” I was excited to jump up, but still had to keep my cool look,So that dads wa too proud.”I’m leaving.Bye dad,bye mom.”

“Bye bunny.”

But when I walked out of the house they make sure I

will not hear what they say.My mom sat in her chair,”So,when you bought the car?Let me remind you,if our little girl found you were lying,The next week will be your nightmare,she will make sure you can go to AFHV(America’s Funniest Home Videos)”

“I will buy it today,welcome-back-gift.”Dad finished his milk,his bears was stained with milk.

“Haha.”mom was amused by his funny look.

“What?”Dad wiped his mouth with a napkin,but there was one piece not rubbed yet.

“You look so handsome honey,”Mom hold her laughing.

“Really?”Dad smiled,put on his coat,and took the briefcase.”I am leaving darling.”Mom kissed him on his cheek,escaped dad’s move– kiss her lips.

Back to my side.when I arrived to the bus station,there was already a tall boy waiting in there.

From behind he looked tall and strong,also thin.But his skin is so pale.Like someone has just recovered from a severe illness. The whole process of waiting, we were silent, Although I did not know him,I guess that he

estimated that our neighbors, which made me inexplicable some embarrassment.

Finally the bus come here,because it start here,the bus was empty,I sat in the first row,he walked to the behind.After 10 minutes,the bus got other students,and I met a group of curious people.They tried to whisper to talk about me,but I heared everything.Thanks for them I got to know where I live was the famous haunted place,and my dad was the new doctor of town,they felt unfortunately for we are not vampires just like novel.

Yes,yes,we are not vampires,but you know what,! am a witch,surprise!Assuredly I would not to say to them.And during half hours with no talking with me,! already have a tag—introverted.Excuse me?Everytime I tried to talk to you guys you just look at me,so what I could do?

In the class,it was another disaster,I didn’t know I learned too much about my lessons,so I became the “nerd”,the lunch time I even couldn’t found a nice table.! just can’t believe,why work hard is a sin in here.That’s alright.I told myself.! tried to control myself not to give

them some little magic as a great gift.The first day just over like that.And the second,the third.Would you believe me if I said I don’t care that?Well,maybe a little bit.Just a little.! kept telling myself,the option I came here was not making friends with them,! was here to study and went to college.So I can handle everything they did to me,whether they trrow water blows to me, push me in the corridor or to isolate me in the school time.! just felt all right.! was fine.

Who was I kidding? I certainly feel bad. In order to be able to safely eat my lunch, I hide in the empty gymnasium, Sitting in the corner of the stands eating my sandwich.

In fact, I rarely met my neighbor at school, but every time I met him, I was in an empty place.The second time I meet him was in the storeroom,I was been locked in here by some girls.And when I looked around,He was putting sunscreen on the corner.What?How many boys will put sunscreen in the school?Was I behind the times?

“Hi.”I walked a step to him,and he walked more far,like I am a monster.Maybe I am?Why he so scare me?Okay,you didn’t want to talk to me I would not talk to you anymore.

But this time,he talked.”My partents hope to invite your family come to dinner tomorrow.”

“What?” I haven’t responded what happened yet.

“We are neighbors,so my parents wants to welcome your family move to town.”I couldn’t know his expression,there was too dark.

“Well,! guess that’s ok.UM,I mean,! still have to ask my parents,I will tell you tomorrow morning.” He must not want to talk to me. He seems to hate me.

Chapter3

Standing in front of Lawrence’s house with my parents,my dad hold a bottle of wine as gift,my mom weared a lovely dress,so do I.In my whole life,I never like skirt.For me,they are pretty but inconvenient.But I have to say that the champagne dress I wear really beautiful.

“Hi,welcome!”A glorious woman opened the door.Just saw her,I could make sure she must be his mother.They look alike.They both have fair skin and dark eyes,I have to say she is the most beautiful woman I ever saw.

“Welcome! I am Steve,and this is my wife Antonija,Please come in.Make yourself home.”OK,his father is different from my image.Mrs.Lawrence is elegant and noble, She is very friendly, but it is not difficult to feel her pride. It is not a nuisance, but an elegant temperament.And Mr.Lawrence,he just like a puppy,friendly and enthusiastic, the whole person is full of energy, There are so many differences between the two of them,but the atmosphere between them is so harmonious and inseparable. No magic swings, no magic marks.They couldn’t be wizards.

“These furniture looks old,are they antiques?”I had to accept that I am not a good talker.

There seems to be a flash run in her eyes.”Yes my dear,they used to belong to my grandfather.Oh,that’s my boy.You finally comes down here.”The delicious handsome guy stood on the stairs attracted the attention of everyone.

My parents who met him first time,just like the first time I saw his face,they was stunned by his

beauty.Although I knew that beauty is not a good word to describe the appearance of boy,but he is beautiful. This is an irrefutable fact.Until now, I still think he looks like a dream.

Back to that time.He looked clam,but I found his ears was red,I guess his mom said he was shy is true,That’s so amiable.Maybe he didn’t talk to me because he was shy to face me,a stranger.That was sound like a pretense.But face to such a beauty I was in addition to think no reason but this.Beautiful people can make people automatically to found a pretenses for their actions.This is the world and human,I am a witch but I still a human, This dinner made whatever the guest or host were

happy.When we back to house,I made protective spell for all the doors and windows. There maybe were a group of dangerous monsters outside,we had to be careful.This was a sleepless night for me.I almost use the whole night to make talismans for my mom and dad. I hesitated for a minute,but alsop made 3 for our neighbors,whatever they are nice people.I like them.That was the reason I have dark circles around eyes in the

morning,I used a pile of cottect to cover them,as a bad make-up girl,l felt forlorn to my face and my skill.

“Hi.”That was the first time he say something to me in the morning,why I felt so uneasy?

“Hi.”As a polite lady I responded to him,he didn’t give me a look.

As usual, we got on the school bus, our seats were far away.But after the bus draw upon a distance,After careful thought,I stood up,walked to him,and satted next to him. He looked at me with astonishment,his eyes told me that he was curious about my actions.

“Thank you for the dinner.” An awkward silence”Emm,I noticed some carving patterns on furniture,your mom told me,those furnitures were from your great-grandfather.”Alexis say something make him truth you,”I had read some knowledge about them,they are used to against the vampires,I knew you might not believe this but better believe in what is without your trust.This town has a lot of myths.”Godd job Alexis Blake, You succeeded in making your neighbors think you were crazy.I could easily see the fear in his eyes. The

matter has already arrived and can not go back on it,”Here,take these!” I direct the amulet in his hand. Suddenly, something unexpected happened in front of me. The amulet burned his hand,from his hands there were raised a few wisps of black smoke. He closes his lips and gave a painful groan. 1 was petrified.What the hell?!They would not have any harm to human,unless……unless he is not a human.Oh My God.fair skin,bloody red lips, Lawrences are vampires!

Romance novels are non-fictions?The vampires really weren’t afraid of sunlight?But he didn’t shine like diamonds. Don’t they drink blood for living? How could they have dinner with us yesterday? They absolutely eat, Isawit!

I completely panic, and then just react, should put this amulet quickly put away, so as not to be seen by more people.( First of all, I’m weird enough for my schoolmates;second, Who knows if there are any other magical creatures in this town?I don’t want to be a dinner for anyone.) I crouched down to find the amulet I didn’t know where it is. At this point, the accident

happened.The bus stopped in its second station,and the inertia made me hit him on his legs. Imagine what kind of scene my schoolmates saw.I wanted to dead now. I got up in panic, dared not look at anyone, ran to the corner of the seat, sat down, held my satchel tightly and tried not to listen to those whispers.After that day,for a long time no one see Frederick Lawrence came to school,his mother had sick leave for him.And my life……

I should like my friends go to found a job in magic school or magic gov,Normal life wasn’t normal,it’s so terrible.People are nbot friendly at all.

My school life was getting more and more difficult, I just knew he had a fan club.The girl firmly believe that I try to seduce him. I became a public enemy shouted by everyone. My sports clothes were thrown into the garbage heap. Papers were torn up and lunch was thrown on the ground. Today, I was been thrown into the storage room after

being splashed all over the water. New tricks, but still less creative.I tried to think something funny during m hard time. I crouched down on the floor, back with my locker,That’s cold in here,the cleaning lady maybe will be back in a few hours I guess.

“I am sorry.”the voice made me too scare to knocked down the cleaner on the cabinet.

“It’s me,don’t be afraid.”Very well, Frederick Lawrence witnessed my ridiculous miserable condition. I tried to make myself look not so embarrassed, even though I was hard-pressed.

“Putting sunscreen here?Nice place.”His response was taking off his coatThere was some thought in my mind scared me,” What are you doing!”

In fact, his expression looks really innocent,who know how I found innocent from a face without any expression. “Please,take this.” He squatted in front of me, two hands holding his coat, handed it to me.

During the time I had a bee in my bonnet,he already put his hand in his pocket,and took something what is wrapped in a white silk handkerchief.He handed it to me, I hesitated, but still took it. I gently open the handkerchief, there was the amulet I made for him.

“May l?”He stood up and stretched out his hand to me.

This time without hesitate,I took his hand,and stood up. He took my hand to the door and opened it.It’s almost the time people go back to home.his one hand took our schoolbags,one hand took me, I was dressed in his coat,we kept this kind of look went to the bus station.The world quiet.But my heart became noisy.

Chapter 4

Frederick Lawrence came back to school after that day.People in school still whisper but no more bully now.I guess this was a good situation,right?

Not only students,teachers seems like thinking there were somethings during him and I.Like this timein biology class,we became partners. He was silent and turned a deaf ear to the booing sound in classroom. I blushed, though I thought I should not be showing that way. Our subject quickly determined, in fact, he has been silent, I can only pick a question at random.

That night,I slept in my bed like always,and a big sound “Dong!” scared me up from my bed.That sound came from my window,seems like someone tried to open my window but be hitted by my spell.

I got up,dressed a cardigan, Pull the curtains, Frederick was standing on the treetops,lokked like he tried to jump to the outside of my window again. I removed the spell and opened the window.Took a step back,hold my arms

He smiled,that ‘s maybe the first truly smile I ever seen in his face,”Because I am half vampire.My mom is vampire,but my dad is werewolf” He said this thing like he were told me what he ate for lunch.Vampire and Werewolf are natural enemies,so what’s this, Romeo and Juliet?

“They just like the Gothic Romeo and Juliet .“Okay,I agree, but how do they break the reproductive isolation?”I think that’s pretty cool.”He didn’t ansewer my question which I ask in my mind,so he couldn’t read my mind,that’s good. I do not have to worry about my foolish thoughts that leaked.

“Sure,be my guest.”I waited his question. “Are you a wizard?”

What?I kept my cool,”No,I am a witch.” There was no disappointing in his face,”Why you think like that?” I was really curious, my ears are not sharp

His ears became red,”Because,you have magic and……and…..” He stumbledli

“And what?Just say it!”

“And you are cute but also smell like flowers.” When he finished, he rushed out of the window. It looked like a

man who is determined to commit suicide,

I close my window but not make spell,”what’s wrong with him,! am a witch,not a wizard.” I put my head in the quilt, What this feeling is?A little bit sweet and a little bit acid.! was asleep in this.

Chapter5

Why I chose this question?Now we already walking in

this inaccessible forest for one hour.Althyough I knew there weren’t dangerous animals, But I still feel creepy.

“Here don’t have dangerous animals,just some deers and rabbits.” Frederick walked in front of me, helped me clean up the weeds on the ground, and tried to make a pedestrian path.”Do you like rabbits?”

“Alright,I mean Yes,I like rabbits.” I specifically wear a jacket, but did not know it’s because of my illusion or the environment, the more forward the more cold.

“Alexis look!Aster novi-belgii.”Frederick pointed out not far away and whispered to me.Without my answer, He stepped over the weeds,picked a flower and brought ittome.

“Thank you.” I bowed my head and felt a little embarrassed. I could hear his soft laugh and feel his eyes. It was so strange..

“Yo!!!”That was from some animals,maybe a deer then a big sound as “Pong!” came from not far away.Frederick was obviously rection faster than me, He took me and hid behind a tree next to us. I was leaning against the tree and his arms were around me. I could smell the faint

scent of him. We could hear the sound of footsteps coming across the grass,then some sounds of ripped leather came, A smell of blood pervaded the air. I glanced at him, and he was was quietly looking out, His face is serious,I knew some bad things happened.

“Stray vampire” He mouthed this to me.This gave me a chill.Stray vampires are the most dangerous kind of vampires.They didb’t have any rules,just kill and eat.I could guess he or she was drinking the blood of animals,but overhere,there were 2 better food for him or her.Frederick seemed to have felt my fear,he was holding me even tighter.

Not to know how long time to go,he finally took a deep breath,said,”He gone.” I finally relaxed, and he still I finally relaxed, and he still hemmed in me.”Hey!”

“Oh,sorry!” He hurriedly let me go.

“You,you,” I felt myself blush.

“That,that’s because,your blood have power,it smells so delicious,I wanted to cover it so,so I “To tell you the truth, his personality is really different from his looks.But I think that’s cute.

“Go away!”Frederick stood in front of me,”I will not let you hurt her!”

“You?”The yam made a hissing,”You are just a dessert for me.I can smell the werewolf fumes from you.You are a half.”

“So what!”Frederick rushed up,they moved too fast to see them.Then I knew is Frederick was severely hit the tree.

“Fred!” I struggled to check his situation.

“lexis, Protect yourself!”He stood up again.”Come on!Even I dead I will take care of her!”

“As a waste, you have integrity”

This time wen I could see clear,Fred already been strangled by the neck.

“Run!” He struggled said, his voice hoarse.”Lexis,run!” His hands clung to the arm of the yam holding his neck.

“Fred!” I cried,decided firmly. I picked up a sharp stone and cut my wrist.

I rushed over and hugged Fred ,same time threw the talisman into the yam’s body.In the moment the yam withdrew his hand because of the pain,I used my blood open a passageway then I passed out.

Chapter6

When I woke up,I am already in my own bed.

“Lexis,you wake up!”That’s Fred.

“Fred?How?”I tired sat in my bed,but a pain stopped me,it’s my wrist.

“What’s wrong?Your wrist?Are you OK?” He stretched out his hand as if to touch me, but dared not.

“Can you,can you use some spell to heal yourself?”

“A wound made for the sacrifice of magic can not heal by magic.”I knew he was worried about me.

But after that,the room into an awkward silence. Did I say something wrong?

He put his havd into his pocket just like last time in storeroom, took something what is wrapped in a white silk handkerchief.he gently open the handkerchirf,it’s a necklace. “This Is from my great grandmom.”He gave me a smile,” Today’s experience has taught me that there are things that can’t be stored in your heart forever.”

“Fred……”He stopped me.

“Alexis Blake, As soon as I met you, I fell in love.” There seemed to be starlight in his eyes. When I react, our lips have met.

That night he slept in my room but we just

sleep,didn’t do other things,

In the morning,when I wake up,he already woke,”Good morning.”Well,looked like he love smiling now.”You are so cute.”

“Go away!”Now I was too shy to face him.

“Ok,care about your wrist.”He stand in front of the curtains,”I love you Alexis.”

“Me too.”That’s so hard to say this in front of him.

But when he drew the curtain away, he was as fixed as a stone.

I stood up curiously and went to the window ,then I saw his mother was in his room,looked at us.

And my mom was knocking my door,”Honey,I am coming!”
